Membership

Anybody interested in experiencing the Hudson from a sailboat or from its scenic shores is invited to join,  so is anybody who wants to support our cause. We are also looking for competent sailors  who are willing to sail with other members. Members are welcome to become active in the organization (e.g. as crew, helping with maintenance, participating at the various festivals and promoting our goals)

Joining Ferry Sloops offers members a rare opportunity to sail the Hudson River on our 22 foot Sloop Rigged Catboat.  There is usually one sail each weekend, and sometimes one during the week. No experience is required! Members can come just to enjoy the sail, or learn how to crew the boat if they would like.  Basic sail courses are occasionally offered in the winter months to prepare eager "land lubbers" to crew the Whimbrel.

Membership Types: 

  • Individual membership is now $120.00
  • Families including children over 6 years of age is $150.00 per year.

    .  Dues are to be paid annually by all members as of January 1st.

    Your payment may be sent to us by mail (Ferry Sloops, Inc., PO Box 346, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520) or in person at our Monthly Meeting at the Nature Center in Croton Point Park.  Come and join in the fun with our usual combined potluck dinner and meeting with a touch of music
