Learn more about the Hudson River’s most iconic native fish species, including Atlantic sturgeon, American eel, striped bass, American shad, and river herring. Discover the annual spawning migrations these species have undertaken for centuries, explore the environmental challenges and threats currently impacting their habitats, and see how local restoration efforts by Riverkeeper are helping river life thrive for generations to come.


ABOUT THE PRESENTER


Katie Leung serves as Riverkeeper’s Senior Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator, following her previous work as a field technician with the NYC Parks Wildlife Unit. Driven by the belief that all conservation issues are interconnected, she focuses on engaging communities in environmental stewardship to combat the threats facing our natural world.



There will be a Q&A after the program.
