About the Event
Join Ferry Sloops in a shoreline cleanup of Croton Point Park on Saturday, May 4, 2023 (9:00am to 12:00pm) for the 13th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep, a day of service for the Hudson River and its tributaries.
Every year, thousands of volunteers come together across hundreds of miles of shoreline in New York City and the Hudson Valley for the Annual Riverkeeper Sweep. Over the last 12 years, Sweep volunteers have removed more than 355 tons of debris and planted or maintained 7,130 native plants. Once-neglected areas have gained year-round stewards, and rivers and creeks are better for it.
Be part of the Riverkeeper Sweep and help our fight for a healthy Hudson River.
Volunteers will meet at Croton Point Park Nature Center, 1 Croton Point Ave, Croton-On-Hudson, NY 10520. Parking is available at the Nature Center and in the large lot down the hill. We ask all Sweep volunteers to also bring a hat, sunscreen, a full reusable water bottle, and a face mask, work gloves and hand sanitizer. Volunteers may also want to bring insect repellent. Long pants & long sleeves are recommended.
This site is suitable for elementary-aged children with adult supervision.
